Description

The CS Systems Support Group will review and possibly install any software on the CSIF Computers that you need for instruction.  

Features/Benefits: 

  • Most programs that come in the Ubuntu repos can be installed
  • Installation of second party programs

Get Started:

If an instructor wants you to use a certain program that isn’t installed in the CSIF, ask that instructor to request the installation of the program.

How to request this service

The Systems Support Group needs the following information to provide you with this service.  Please cut and paste the below questions and fill in the information needed into an email to support@cs.ucdavis.edu.      

Subject: Request program XXXXX be installed on the CSIF Computers
CC: <Instructor of class> instructor@ucdavis.edu
Please install the program from this website XXXXX.  I need it for XXXXX class.

Availability: 

Any faculty, staff, or student that has authorization to the CSIF.  Programs that are required for instructional use will have priority.
